Wait, Waiting, Still Waiting……..

Come summer I waited, for you all day and night

Through the scorching heat mornings, to the sparkling moonlight

Fall followed soon after, but I still lingered for your presence

Missing you each passing day, your long gone, absence

Then winter came, but still you didn’t show

All that stood by the door, was a piled up load of snow

Then spring arrived, the season of acceptance and grief

As I faced the facts of loneliness, with no signs left for relief
